NFL PICK ‘EM : Wild Card Round

Hey everyone we are back!! Fangirlish is here to let you hear our predictions for what is sure to be a WILD Wild Card Weekend! (See what we did there?).

SO many interesting matchups this weekend. Divisional battle between the Colts and the Texans. Are the Boys really back or will the Seahawks soar again? Can the Bears’s crushing defense stop Nick Foles’s magic? And can the Ravens prove they are a Super Bowl caliber team?

Charles, Lizzie, and Alyssa will let you know what we think as we predict Wild Card Weekend!!

Indianapolis Colts vs Houston Texans

Saturday, 1/5/19, 4:35pm, ESPN

Charles: HOUSTON 24, INDIANAPOLIS 20 – Texans have to win one of these games eventually. Why not now?

Lizzie: INDIANAPOLIS 31, HOUSTON 27 – The Colts are hot, hot, hot and I never underestimate how big that is going into the playoffs. Also, it just feels like Luck is due a good one.

Alyssa: INDIANAPOLIS 31, HOUSTON 20 – The Colts are no doubt the hottest team in the AFC heading into the playoffs. Not to mention Andrew Luck looks like the Andrew Luck we all remember. This might be the lone road team to lock up a win this week.

Seattle Seahawks vs. Dallas Cowboys

Saturday, 1/5/19, 8:15pm, FOX

Charles: SEATTLE 31, DALLAS 19 – The Seahawks feel like a team ready to make a run in these playoffs. Wilson and the defense are both clicking at the right time.

Lizzie: SEATTLE 27, DALLAS 23 – Wilson has just had a better season, not to mention he has better receivers. But I think this one goes down to the wire.

Alyssa: DALLAS 27, SEATTLE 20 – My heart tells me to pick the Seahawks, as does my common sense knowing the Cowboys haven’t won a playoff game in an eternity. But there’s something about this defense that’s telling me to pick the Cowboys.

Los Angeles Chargers vs. Baltimore Ravens

Sunday, 1/6/19, 1:05pm, CBS

Charles: BALTIMORE 27, LOS ANGELES 20 – Lamar Jackson and the Ravens are the real deal.

Lizzie: BALTIMORE 35, LOS ANGELES 34 –  Never trust Philip Rivers to really come through when it really counts.

Alyssa: LOS ANGELES 27, BALTIMORE 23 – Baltimore’s defense is the reason they’ll win, if they do. But there’s something different about this Chargers team this season. Who do I trust more? Rivers or Jackson? I’ll take Rivers, easy.

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Chicago Bears

Sunday, 1/6/19, 4:40pm, NBC

Charles:PHILADELPHIA 24, CHICAGO 21 – I’m not going to be the person to bet against Nick Foles and the Eagles at this moment.

Lizzie: CHICAGO 31, PHILADELPHIA 30 – Going with the gut and heart here. Feels like the Bears have something special going on.

Alyssa: CHICAGO 27, PHILADELPHIA 13 – The Bears have won 9 of their last 10 games and are the hottest team in the NFC. I might be a bit biased here, but I’m picking Chicago based on facts. The best defense in the league. At home. In the elements. With a young quarterback that just went into a hostile playoff environment last week as preparation. Bear down, baby. The Foles magic ends here.
