Have you guys seen The Hustle trailer yet? No? Watch below. You’ll thank me for it later.
The Hustle is about two “female scam artists, one low rent and the other high class, who team up to take down the dirty rotten men who have wronged them.” The Hustle stars Anne Hathaway and Rebel Wilson, directed by Chris Addison, written by Jac Schaeffer, and produced by Roger Birnbaum and Rebel Wilson.
Who wouldn’t love this hilariously dynamic duo?
I love Rebel Wilson. Her sense of humor is witty without any expectations. Her quick lines reflect my inner monologue. Her tones, her pitch? Perfect. The Pitch Perfect movies were hilarious because of Rebel. Seriously. I adore Anne Hathaway. I first appreciated Anne since The Princess Diaries, but I became a solid fan when Rachel Getting Married came out. Anne is a versatile actor, and while one genre isn’t what she categorizes with, her comedies are what I love to watch .
From the start of the trailer, Rebel’s opening scene grabbed me. The quick con hooked me, and Rebel already had me chuckling. Enter Anne’s character – the upscale con artist. I’m not sure about her accent, but I’m sure there’s a reason for it. There are many funny moments, and I laughed the entire time. I love the whole concept of a gender swapped Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and I am here for it.
Did I almost spit out my coffee? You bet I did.
The Hustle is in theaters May 10.
