Welcome to another Sunday of talking about the shows that made us laugh, cry, go awww and, of course, look around and wonder what in the world was happening. If it made us feel things, whether they were good, or bad, then this is where we talk about it. This is where you tell us if you agree. This is where we let it all out.

So, without further ado, here are these week’s picks:

Badass Female Character of the Week

Lily: Iris Freaking West-Allen on The Flash yo! Ever since the incident with Cicada killed all of Team Flash causing Nora to go back and change the timeline about 52 times, Iris has been avoiding her office. She was understandably scared and felt unsafe. But with the help of her dad who just got home from his 6 month sabbatical, Iris was finally able to confront her fear and take back her space. It wasn’t an action packed badass female moment but it was a meaningful one that resonated with me. I think a lot of us, as women, have felt like Iris at one time. Or even been in a similar situation where some of us might have never been able to take back the peace of mind that was stolen from us. But watching her do just that was inspiring. I love that this show is so good at writing female characters who are empowering.

Jasmine: Saya in this week’s episode of Deadly Class.  She was so angry at Maria for what she did to Yukio, but because she’s her best friend, she chose to rescue her from being tortured by one of her own people.

Gillian: I want to give some love to Maria DeLuca in this week’s Roswell, New Mexico. Realizing you cannot care for a sick parent is an extremely hard decision and the fact that she was dealing with this silently, while listening to Liz’s problems was sad to see. That said, she did what was right for her mom and herself and I I really hope we get to see of her.

Lariel: My badass female is usually on camera, but this week she gets it for off-camera work. Erin Richards (Barbara Kean) made her directorial debut in the latest episode of Gotham, and she hit this one right out of the ballpark. It was one of my favorite episodes of the season, and even of the series. Please, everyone, stand and applaud!

OTP of the Week

Lizzie: What are we calling Frankie and Will on Whiskey Cavalier? FieryCavalier? FieryWhiskey? Because they are my OTP this week, and I foresee there’ll be a lot more of that where that came from. Not just because they had that conversation in the vault, with the level of vulnerability Frankie rarely shows anyone else, or because Will looks at her like she could hang the moon sometimes, but also because SHE CUT THE BRAKES FROM RAY’S CAR BECAUSE NO ONE MESSES WITH WILL, OKAY? NO ONE.

Mimi: Mine has less to do with romantic OTP’s and more to do with sister OTP’s. I chose Meredith and her sister Maggie this week. They are brilliant surgeons and they share the same birth mother and really the same dad… Richard was a dad to Mere too guys! Anyway, Maggie gets her feelings hurt this week because as she is on air doing an interview she lets it slip that she is the love child of Ellis Grey and Richard. Richard is not pleased as he wants to “forget that part of his life” but like he didn’t mean it like that! BUT it came out like that. Never fear, Meredith is there to comfort Maggie and let her know they are sisters and she is there for her. I love them now, and that’s huge because I wasn’t sure about their relationship at first. I’m digging Greys Anatomy this year guys!

Jasmine: Billy and Petra, Deadly Class. I know they were about to partake in a threesome with Lex but, he made it very clear that the first time he was with her, he wanted it to just be them. He let her know again how much he cares about her and I thought that was pretty sweet.

Gillian: It could be said every week but Jake and Amy on Brooklyn Nine-Nine. It was fun that he was indulging her worst impulses when it comes to her brother, but it also further showed how much he respects her and feels like her family could be better at supporting her.

McKenzie: I’m with Lizzie, it’s all about Whiskey Cavalier. I loved watching Frankie get jealous over Will. It’s only episode two and she is protective over him. You don’t cut brakes for just anyone. Also, their jabs back and forth crack me up.   How can you not love them? A pair who can make fun of each other is the best in my opinion.

Lariel: I have not always been a fan of Jim & Lee on Gotham. But this week, they are my OTP. They’ve been through five years of hell, but this week we got the joy of seeing them become husband and wife.

Moment That Made You Collapse Into a Puddle of FEELS

Lizzie: I’m finding myself feeling like this after just about every second Michael Guerin is on screen on Roswell, New Mexico these days, and I’m not even sure how we got here. If you’d asked me when the show started I would have said Max was my favorite, but those days are long over. Now all I want is to wrap Michael up in bubble wrap and protect him from the world.

Naomi: I have to go with Lizzie on this one! When Michael tries to spark up a conversation with Maria on Roswell, New Mexico, but she shuts it down and he reacts to those tears streaming down her face with pure love and warmth I was dead! But I do also have to give the runner up puddle maker to Max for basically giving Liz permission to wipe his sister off the face of the planet Earth if it came down to it. Now, what kind of love do you want if you can’t have a love like that?

Mimi: I collapsed into a puddle of feels on Grownish this week, but not in a good way. Zoey and her daddy had a come to Jesus meeting at the end of the spring finale and it did not end well for Zoey. Her father cut her off and told he was no longer supporting her lifestyle or the person she had become. Damn! Is what I said to my television.

Lily: This is not surprising but the final scene of This Is Us when Kate is laying on the hospital bed and Kevin is there and then Randall shows up to be by his sister’s side…. the way she told her brothers that she couldn’t lose the baby and how they both tried to reassure her that she wouldn’t and then her broken voice when she asked them if they promised…. yeah that scene broke me. And then they had to go and parallel the scene with teenage Randall promising his siblings that as long as they stay together, they’d be okay. I still haven’t recovered.

Jasmine: On This is us, when Rebecca  broke down outside of Randall’s graduation. I cried so much watching that because she had been trying so hard to hold it together for her kids but then she just couldn’t take it anymore. Her children had reached a major milestone in life and I think she was realizing that once they graduated, that was it and they were moving onto College and leaving her alone. I think having her children was keeping her going and being busy kept her mind off everything but once it stopped, the grief hit her like a tidal wave.

Gillian: Whiskey Cavalier as a whole. I’m not shipping the two of them yet but I have such wonderful feelings watching the show. I’ve missed silly spy shows! And the cast is so good together!

Kayla: Bell showing that he does have humility and respect for others when he cleaned up the OR after he lost a long time friend during a surgery he was doing for him. His friend was the longest serving hospital custodian, so in his honor, he cleaned the OR after the surgery gone wrong. He really did care for his friend, and that scene made me bawl unlike any other in this week’s The Resident. Who knew Bell could make me cry?

McKenzie: Jennifer and Hannah from The Enemy Within. Jennifer gets to talk to her daughter for the first time in three years. Sure it is in the middle of an interrogation room at the FBI but it was emotional nonetheless. Hannah just wants to know why her mom would be a traitor to her country that caused the death of CIA agents.  Jennifer just wants to protect her daughter from the truth so she doesn’t have to carry a burden that would hurt her. She is stuck between a rock and a hard place. If she does tell Hannah the truth it will hurt her but if she doesn’t she could lose her forever. It’s heartbreaking.

Lariel: Am I gonna talk about Gotham again? Yeah, I am. Because while this show can be a twisted trip, it also has some of the most wonderful moments I’ve ever seen. This week, it was Alfred’s confession to Lee that while he’d never wanted to be a father, becoming Bruce’s guardian has given him some of the most ecstatic moments of his life. Lee gets teary-eyed during this talk, and so did I.

Moment That Gave You Hope

Lily: Lee and Jim finally tied the knot on Gotham! It’s been a long time coming and I know there’s only three episodes left in the series but that scene was perfect and so completely earned. I loved it! I know a lot can still go wrong in the last three episodes but for now, I’m very hopeful that Jim Gordon will get to live a long and happy life with his wife and future daughter that we all know and love! Plus Bruce kissed Selina at the wedding and I may have screamed a little because Bruce and Selina are destined to get married when they’re older!

Mimi: I watched the “Cha-Cha skit” on SNL with John Mulaney and I LOL’d. If you haven’t seen it, head over to Youtube now and watch it. So funny and so on point, such dry humor and who knew Mulaney could dance? It gave me hope for the dreary week ahead and made me smile.

Jasmine: On this week’s episode of Good trouble,  Mariana finally got the recognition she deserved at Speckulate. When Raj decided to speak up for her to make sure she was given the credit she deserved, it made me so happy. She’s been struggling since starting there, so to see someone from the “Boys club” acknowledge her work and let others know she does in fact have a lot to contribute was awesome.

Kayla: On The Resident, when Marshall went directly to the military leader overseeing the veterans getting VNS devices inserted for PTSD and told him the truth about the wide ranging fraud Quovadis is guilty of, resulting in Quovadis being outed for all to see. Now, Marshall offered to buy the rest of the company, but it’s only to take them down from the inside, if the press release for the next episode is to be believed. GO MARSHALL! TAKE QUOVADIS DOWN!!

Quote of the Week

Lyra: “I’m not a child. I’m the son of Lucifer. I’m a hunter. I am a Winchester.” – Jack Kline, Supernatural

Lily: “Long live the King.” – The Flash when King Shark defeated Gorilla Grodd

Jasmine: “Ok, ok…Nope. No.. because..ok..no. I.. will you go get in the car please, i’ma go straighten this out.” -Randall about to go up to the school to speak with Dejas teacher on This Is Us.

Kayla: “You saved more lives than I did today.” – Conrad to Marshall, The Resident

McKenzie: Frankie: “Can I give you some free advice?” Will: “No.” Frankie: “You’re too nice.” Will: “Weird burn.” Frankie: “I mean for a spy. You’re too emotionally available.” Will: “I’m sorry, I couldn’t hear you over the wall of mistrust you built around yourself; it’s so big.”- Whiskey Cavalier

Lariel: “No weirder than waking up one day and finding out that your son used to be your daughter.” Lyla Michaels, The Flash. (Why is it I’ve been liking Lyla’s guest shots on The Flash better than her appearances on Arrow? Can The Flash keep Lyla once Arrow ends?)

WTF Moment of the Week

Mimi: Luke Perry dying, was a huge WTF moment for me. I felt in my heart he was going to get better when I first learned of his stroke and I was as stunned as anyone, when he passed. He will always be 90210 for me, he will always be Dylan. I watch Riverdale,  and now he will always be Archie’s dad. How sad for his family, and what a loss for his t.v. family.

Naomi: I sadly have to second Mimi on this. Dylan McKay was thee love of my adolescent life. He and Brenda were probably my first real ship. I cried upon hearing that he passed; this was such as sad moment in time.

Lily: Liz creating a weapon in Roswell, New Mexico really threw me for a loop. Like I get that this show is trying to establish its own mythology and she is completely justified in not trusting Isabel and wanting to protect herself but this just feels really out of character for me. The only thing more out of character than that was Max telling her to continue making the weapon that could potentially kill him and his siblings. Wtf is going on???

Jasmine: Master Lin on Deadly Class, using Marcus’s home videos with his family when he was a child as a way to torture a confession out of him.  Like really Master Lin? Really????

Gillian: There was a whole lot of WTF for me this week: the end of The Resident, which had Conrad’s dad offer to buy Quovadis (a company that has killed people!) after they lost two big contracts, the scene where Randall basically tells Beth to give up her dream on This is Us (THIS IS NOT THE RANDALL I KNOW AND LOVE), and the whole farm situation on Riverdale needs to end. I feel like all my shows went a little crazy in the run-up to their finales and I did not approve.

Kayla: I don’t disagree with Gillian, but I also feel like Marshall is going somewhere with this to take the rest of Quovadis down. But yeah, I did have a moment there. Also in the same episode of The Resident, WTF, Alec? YOU KNOW BETTER THAN TO HIT ON MY GIRL NIC. Luckily, Nic is the loyal girlfriend I expected her to be and pushed Alec’s advances away and left the scene, FAST! Alec, you just ended up on my shit list, dude. YOU KNOW BETTER! NIC IS OFF LIMITS!

Lariel: Mine is the good kind of WTF, as an expression of astonishment and enjoyment. And for that, it’s “Fins vs Fangs,” King Shark vs. Gorilla Grodd. Yeah, the overall episode was… kinda messy. But I LOVED that CGI fight scene; just the right amount of ridiculous without being utterly stupid (Legends of Tomorrow writers, please take note).
