Jared Padalecki Set To Star in ‘Walker, Texas Ranger’ Reboot

If we’re being honest, I hated the original Walker, Texas Ranger. That shit was horrible and my Dad used to make us watch it for family TV night.

Is it a wonder that I hated family TV night?

But I may be more interested now that it’s being redone and Jared Padalecki is starring in it. I love the actor on Supernatural, but I also love him as a human being that wants to change the world and end the stigma of mental illness.

Like a lot of CW stars, he can’t seem to walk away from the network, because that is where the reboot of Walker, Texas Ranger is set for development.

Padalecki will play the title role of Cordell Walker, “a man finding his way back to his family while investigating crime in the state’s most elite unit. [The] broken widower and father of two returns home to Austin after being undercover for two years for a high profile case — only to discover that there’s even more work to be done at home.”

Anna Fricke will write the pilot and executive-produce with Padalecki and Dan Lin.

Is Walker, Texas Ranger a show you’d want to watch?
