Okay, don’t hate me for saying this, but does it ever feel like every show has to have some mystery involved in it? Some shocking crime involved? Like no offense to all the people green-lighting shit for television, but if I wanted to watch that, I’d watch the news.
And that’s the tea.
But I do accept that I am not everyone and so these shows will keep making their way to television.
Dare Me, which is based on the book by Meg Abbott is coming to television, and I am not sure that I will be watching. Should I? Yes. But I didn’t like cheerleaders in high school and don’t want to watch them now.
The show follows the cut relationship between two best friends (who obviously cheerlead), their coach, and the way she pushes them to greatness. BUT, of course things don’t always go as planned and their lives are turned upside down when their is some stuff that happens in their town.
Sports Drama. Coming of age stuff. Mystery. Yup, it’s all of those.
Starring in Dare Me are Herizen Guardiola, Marlo Kelly, Willa Fitzgerald, Paul Fitzgerald, Zach Roerig, Rob Heaps, and Alison Thornton. The show premieres on USA on Sunday, December 29 at 10/9c.
