‘Chicago Med’ 5×11 Review: “The Ground Shifts Beneath Us”

This episode of Chicago Med was full of plot twists. Just when you thought you knew what would happen next, something else happened that took you completely by surprise.

Natalie Saves The Day…Or A Baby At Least

This case was a total Natalie case. Leave it to her to find a baby almost unconscious in a car. However, I was not expecting it to be Gwen’s kid.

While Natalie usually makes some pretty controversial moves, I have found myself on her side these past couple episodes. She shouldn’t have had to keep when Gwen did from her husband, even if it meant her losing her kid.

Will’s New Project

Let me just say, Will looks really good in a suit. I hated that Will felt so guilty about what happened to Lynn and was blaming himself for her death. I hate it when Will is sad. But, I do think his idea of a safe injection site at the hospital was a really good idea. It probably would help save a lot of lives and stop people from overdosing. I love that Will is trying to right a wrong he thinks he’s done. He has such a big heart, and I just hate to see it broken.

Will was so passionate about this project. I just hate that it got turned down because Gwen felt betrayed. And I admire the fact that Will cares so much about the cause that he isn’t gonna let one setback get him down, but I worry that he’s getting himself into something he’s gonna regret by getting involved in an underground site. We all remember what happened the last time Will got involved in something shady. I just hope he knows what he’s doing this time.

Stand Out Scene

Dr. Abrams showing up at the hospital just as his wife was about to take him off of life support was a major plot twist.

If you ask me, Dr. Abrams’ wife Michelle has some major explaining to do. I know if I learned that my significant other was going to take me off of life support, I would want an explanation.

Best Lines

Maggie: Dr Abrams was on flight 3376

April: Ethan, I want us to try to get pregnant again

Will: That addiction started with me. How many others did I do this to?

Dr. Abrams: I’m the eye candy in this relationship
