‘Chaos Walking’ Finally Gets A Release Date

Color us shocked AF.

Chaos Walking has been riddled with issues – which is hard to believe since it stars Tom Holland and Daisy Ridley. We’re pretty confident that these two couldn’t make a bad movie if they tried.

Lionsgate has set a release date for their long-awaited sci-fi Daisy Ridley-Tom Holland movie Chaos Walking of January 22, 2021.

It’s about fucking time. But one has to worry what is happening that it’s taking so long. After all March of 2019 was the original release date.

The $100 million dollar movie needed over $15 million dollars of reshoots. The schedule for reshoots took some time, because you know Tom Holland was busy with a little thing called Spider-man and Daisy with Star Wars. So, one has to be patient around that.

Lionsgate once owned the YA space for book to movie adaptations with something you may all have heard of – The Hunger Games. Lionsgate previously acquired Summit which was the driving force behind Twilight.

Chaos Walking was due to be their return to dominating the YA space.

Ridley and Holland play “unlikely companions who embark on a perilous adventure through the badlands of an unexplored planet as they try to escape a dangerous and disorienting reality; where all inner thoughts are seen and heard by everyone.”

Chaos Walking stars Tom Holland, Daisy Ridley, Mads Mikkelsen, Demian Bichir, Cynthia Erivo, Nick Jonas, Kurt Sutter, Ray McKinnon and David Oyelowo. Patrick Ness and Christopher Ford wrote the screenplay based on the Patrick Ness book The Knife of Never Letting Go.
