Chicago Med‘s “Who Should Be The Judge” was a wild ride. Literally. Leave it to Dr. Manning and Dr. Marcel to get themselves kidnapped by a convicted murderer. But thankfully Jay Halstead was there to get them out of it. Seeing Jay Halstead on my TV will never get old. But, it looks like we might be headed toward a Manning-Marcel-Sexton-Choi love quadrangle between some of our favorite doctors at Chicago Med.
A Rough Night For Manning and Marcel
This whole situation was pretty crazy. I mean, I would probably be scared out of my mind if I was ever kidnapped, especially by a convicted murderer. Of course it was Dr. Manning and Dr. Marcel’s caring hearts that got them kidnapped. While I’m glad they had each other instead of being alone in this situation, I wish they could have been with other people. I’m getting sick and tired of Natalie and Crockett being paired together all the time on this show now. I just want Manstead back.
Unfortunately, I think this whole thing might bring Natalie and Crockett closer. I like them as friends and they make a good team, but I don’t ship them romantically. They just don’t make sense to me as a couple. But it looks like they’re headed in that direction. Maybe I’ll grow to like it, but right now I’m just not feeling it. But no matter what happens between Natalie and Crockett, Manstead will always be my number one.
Three Cheers For Maggie And Ben
Maggie and Ben are engaged and I couldn’t be happier! Those two are probably the least problematic couple on Chicago Med. Plus, they’re super cute together. They are both so supportive of each other and it’s adorable. Not only that, but Ben makes Maggie super happy, and she deserves it. I cannot wait for their wedding.
Maggie and Ben are also both in remission now, which is amazing. I hope they get to live a long and happy life together. It was so sweet how when Barry asked her what she would wish for if she had one wish she said the only thing she would wish is to spend the rest of her life with him. And then he said she better not be joking cause he would marry her tomorrow. How cute is that?! Talk about relationship goals. It was such a sweet moment. Those two have been through so much together. I couldn’t think of a better ending for them.
Get It Together, Will
Will, I love you, but you are making some pretty sketchy choices lately. Will wears his heart on his sleeve. When he cares about you, he really cares about you. And I love him for that. However, sometimes he cares a little too much.
Will knew that Hannah was not allowed to have methadone. The doctors literally told him that. Yet he still brought some to her anyway because he didn’t want to see her suffer. Thankfully Hannah was smart though and turned it down and told him to leave her alone. Will needs to realize that if Hannah is going to get better, she needs to follow procedure. And while he’s at it, he needs to stay away from Hannah Asher.
Trouble Ahead For Chexton?
Chexton make a great team, in and out of the ER. Ethan adores April. It’s so sweet. I just wish I could stay the same about April. She clearly cares about Ethan, but she also seems to still care about Crockett. Chexton is one of my favorite relationships on Chicago Med. However, their relationship might not survive once April tells him the truth.
I’m glad that April is trying to keep her relationship with Ethan. I love Chexton together. But if she really wants the relationship to work, she can’t keep secrets from Ethan. She needs to tell him the truth about what happened between her and Crockett and how she really feels about him. Because based on how she was looking at Natalie and Crockett after Jay got them freed, she clearly still has feelings for him. And if we’ve learned anything from Manstead, it’s that it’s hard for relationships to survive secrets.
Stand Out Scene
Jay Halstead acting as hostage negotiator for Natalie and Crockett was everything. I love seeing Jay in action, especially when he’s protecting the people he cares about. This scene was so suspenseful and so well-done.
I love when we get to see character’s from One Chicago make guest appearances on the other shows. It’s really cool to see them interact with each other even when there’s not a major crossover. Especially Jay Halstead. I will never get tired of seeing Jay Halstead on my TV screen.
Maggie: The only thing I would wish is..to spend the rest of my life with you
April: Guess sometimes the truth is more painful
Will: They’re punishing addicts because of the stigma
April: Why do I care who he sees?
Jay: No one can know about this. If the news catches wind of the kidnapping, the abductors might decide to cut their losses
