Do you want to go to a concert? that’s right, I just asked if you wanted to go to a concert. I bet right now you’re thinking, “um does she know we’re all under quarantine/social distancing right now?” The answer is yes, I do. I have great news for you though, you don’t even need to leave your house to go to this concert.
If you’re a music fan like me, then chances are you were looking forward to the iHeartRadio Music Awards which was scheduled to air this Sunday. Unfortunately, with everything that is currently going on in the world, it was postponed. Have no fear though because Elton John has come to bring us a concert we can watch from the comfort of our homes.
The Concert titled “Fox Presents the iHeart Living Room Concert for America,” is a benefit concert to support those affected by the impact of Covid-19. The show, which is 1 hour long, will pay tribute to those on the front lines of this pandemic and encourage viewers to donate to charitable organizations Feeding America, and First Responders Children’s Foundation.
Artists will perform from the comfort of their own homes and so far the lineup is pretty amazing;
- Alicia Keys
- Backstreet Boys
- Billie Eilish
- Billie Joe Armstrong
- Mariah Carey
- Tim McGraw
- Camila Cabello
- Dave Grohl
- Sam Smith
I don’t know about you, but I’m excited. I think this is a great way to bring us all together since the whole world is on quarantine and socially distanced. Music is universal and it has a way of uplifting us all even in the darkest of times. The fact that it’s for a great cause makes it even better.
Fox Presents the iHeart Living Room Concert for America airs Sunday at 9pm ET/6pm PT on Fox. You can also listen on iHeartMedia radio stations nationwide, and via the iHeartRadio app.
