Welcome to another Sunday of talking about the shows & movies that made us laugh, cry, go awww and, of course, look around and wonder what in the world was happening. If it made us feel things, whether they were good, or bad, then this is where we talk about it. This is where you tell us if you agree. This is where we let it all out.
So, without further ado, here are these week’s picks:
Badass Female Character of the Week
Lizzie: Brianna on Outlander. First she somehow held it together after being captured by Stephen Bonnet, then she tried to play him, and when that didn’t work, she still found a way to make sure her family would get the message. And oh, yes, she got to be the one to end his life.
Naomi: Mirror Iris/Iris West-Allen of The Flash gets my vote this week. The evil Iris turned into a terminator-like killing machine with the liquid metal arms for swords and all! Though I didn’t love how she attacked Barry, I gotta say it was a pretty badass fight scene. On the flip side, the real Iris was trapped in the mirror, but she still happened to get the best of Eva by sending her into a frenzy at the suggestion that she was pining over a husband that abandoned her. It was a first rate read from Mrs. West-Allen.
Jasmine: Liz standing up to her mom Helena in Roswell, New Mexico. Seriously, from the moment she sauntered into the Crashdown I didn’t like her and with good reason. She’s a piece of work but Liz handled her like a champ.
Lyra: Amae on Vagrant Queen. She had Elida’s back all the way to the moon and back. She also showed Hath that he couldn’t go forth with the crap he was spewing to get back into Elida’s good graces. This is what great friendships look like and I can’t wait to see more!
Moment that made you collapse into a puddle of FEELS
Naomi: It’s gotta be The Flash’s WESTALLEN! Barry finally realized his real wife was gone and spent the entire episode trying to find her. Then their declaration of love at the mirror even though they are still apart was a homerun! It’s about time we got them back!
Lizzie: The conversation at the bar between Joan and Zoey on Zoey’s Extraordinay Playlist hit me hard. It’s so rare to see a woman in a mentoring position be, well …a mentor. A real, kind, loving one. Instead women are usually painted as uber-competitive in work environments and incapable of making deep friendships. So, to see the opposite, and to have it be SO real, it was amazing.
Jasmine: Liz and Max in Roswell, New Mexico. Max being by her side as a support system to help get her through her reunion dinner with her mom was a big deal. Then he got her grandmother’s ring back from Helena. It’s just another reminder of how much he is willing to do for Liz to let her know he loves her.
Gillian: I was all in on Daniel and Noa’s relationship on The Baker and the Beauty from the first episode, but this episode was full of such wonderful moments between the two of them. The makeout session at the end was great, but of course, now there’s going to be so much drama! Still, I love them and want them to be together forever.
Quote of the Week

Lyra: “No! You do not get to play that card, Hath!” – Amae, Vagrant Queen
Jasmine: “Dinner’s at seven. Try not to be a decade late this time.”- Liz, to Helena on Roswell, New Mexico
Gillian: “See? Case in point: the only people who haven’t seen The Princess Bride are the Amish or serial killers.” – Nico, Vida
WTF Moment of the Week
Lizzie: When, on Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist, Ava fired Max for something SHE didn’t even know was happening. Sounds like the perfect way to get your employees to stay loyal – NOT.
Jasmine: Ummm i’m going with How To Get Away With Murder. Finding out that Frank is Annalise’s deceased husband Sam’s son with his sister Hannah. Seriously, WHAT. THE. FUCK?.
Gillian: A fun WTF was Danny Trejo’s appearance on Dynasty as a figment of Sam’s imagination. Never in my life would I have expected Danny Trejo to show up on my favorite trashy nighttime soap, and yet it was absolutely delightful? We need more delightful WTFs, don’t we?
