‘Grease’ Prequel Moving Forward

I really didn’t think that I would be so excited for a prequel for Grease. Maybe it is the quarantine, maybe it is the memories. Who knows?

If you haven’t watched Grease, your parents probably did. And you can skip Grease 2, cause that’s like the sequel to Dirty Dancing, where they shouldn’t have done it, but everyone wants a quick buck.

But I am going to have more faith right now as Paramount decides to move forward with Summer Lovin’ – the prequel to Grease.

Brett Haley was just hired to direct the film.

Leah McKendrick wrote the script with Temple Hill and Picturestart producing.

Grease was out in 1978 (yes, it’s old). In the movie, there is a song called, “Summer Nights”, which tells Danny and Sandy’s love story. Summer Lovin’ is going to tell the entire story of their meeting and everything that followed.

I can’t wait to see what happens.

Are you excited for Summer Lovin’?
