Filthy Rich is back with episode “Psalm 25:5” and it was a doozy. It was full of contention, fear and a slinging of a drink. I’m also getting a new theory regarding Eugene, but we will get to that later. I have a lot of feelings regarding the Monreaux family.
THE MONREAUX FAMILY
Margaret, you really need to stop preaching at Ginger and using her to advance subscribes towards SunnyClub. I know, Ginger is also using the Sunshine Network to her advantage, but I think this episode delved past that. Things got heated after Ginger’s baptism and tensions were inflamed with people sending Ginger and her mom threats and a lot of hate. She should have shut this down immediately.
This scenario is very relevant in the world today. Maybe not over some controversy regarding a “sinner” getting a baptism, but just in general. People are so quick to throw around hate and judgement. That shouldn’t be what the world is about. If you disagree with people, respectfully listen to their side and make a judgement from there. That doesn’t mean you send threats their way or bad mouth them. There is no room for hate in the world, we already get enough of that as it is. Now, that is not to say If you disagree with someone that you have to be all jolly and stay friends with them. Just don’t go overboard with hate. Spread love not hate.
Can I also just say that the writers are doing a really great job with Rose. She is a really great character that is a sympathetic family member towards her new extended family. She encourages and embraces them unlike Jason and Margaret. It’s really refreshing for me to see and I hope these relationships continue.
MY NEW EUGENE THEORY
Ok, I have a new Eugene theory so just hear me out. Eugene is in fact still dead. He isn’t alive. This adventure back to what he thinks is his life, is in fact his path to redemption. The store clerk obviously knew who he was and that sparked this theory for me. If Eugene was alive, why wouldn’t she have called the police to come collect him when she discovered he was alive? No, this is all a series of tests to see if he goes to heaven or hell and he is currently failing.
Overall, I’m still enjoying Filthy Rich. It brings me entertainment and it still hasn’t been canceled, which is huge for a show that I like. Are you enjoying Filthy Rich? Share your thoughts with us in the comments below.
