After last week’s brief break, Filthy Rich is back with a brand new episode, “Romans 8:30.” There was only a moment that I felt really connected to this episode and my newest Eugene theory was shot to hell. Let’s jump in.
THE LADIES TABLE

This is the only point in the whole episode of “Romans 8:30” that connected with me. And that was when it was suggested the Rose, Margaret, Ginger and Tina will team up to make their own table to take on the 1820 group that is all men. This right here is feminism. When there isn’t a seat being provided for you at the table, you damn well make your own. You don’t just roll over and take it.
SLOW GOING

Overall, “Romans 8:30” was very slow moving. There was a lot of characters and moving parts that were easy to miss if you weren’t paying attention. They should have slimmed it down and focused on only 50% of the ground they covered in this episode. I feel like if they did that, it would have made it much more easier to watch and provided more excitement content wise.
When you have more wiggle room to move, there is a lot more you can do with the time you have available to flush out the plot. Within the simplified storylines, I felt like they could have made it just…more exciting or engaging. Even though it was a jam packed episode content wise, it felt like I was watching honey drip off a spoon.
ANOTHER THEORY BITES THE DUST

Welp. It looks like Eugene is alive which means that he is not trying to earn redemption for his actions. I’m wondering what he is going to do now that Tina know’s he is alive? What is he going to accomplish from the shadows?
