Another week, another episode of Chicago Med. Emotions were running high for everyone at Chicago Gaffney Medical Center, and things got tense. Just a typical episode of Chicago Med, right? Some things never change.
Ethan Choi, Chief of Emergency Medicine
Dr. Lannik is stepping down, and Ethan has been appointed the new Chief of Emergency Medicine. He is a great fit for that position, as long as he keeps himself in check. Ethan has the talent, no question. He just needs to not be so narrow-minded sometimes and realize that his way is not the only way. However, I’m excited to see Ethan in this new position.
Ethan’s promotion could cause some tension between Ethan and Will, as we already saw happen this episode. After all, Will really wanted that position, and we all know that he is not one to let things like this go. I really wish we could all get along for once, but that’s probably asking too much.
Can Will Halstead catch a break? For once, I just want him to get everything he wants and be happy. I hate seeing Will so sad and upset. Somebody give that man a hug and tell him everything will be okay! Not even being considered for Chief of Emergency Medicine was like a slap in the face to him. However, sometimes you gotta look at the bigger picture.
Goodwin wasn’t lying when she said that sometimes Will makes poor decisions. He follows his heart when he shouldn’t sometimes, but that’s only because he really cares. That’s one of the things I love most about Will, and I hate that it backfired on him big time this time. I would love to see him in a role like Chief of Emergency Medicine one day, but he has to get his act together first.
Natalie Manning Will Always Fight For Her Patients
One things for sure, Natalie Manning will always fight for her patients. Literally and figuratively. She may not always go about it the right way, but like Will, she just really cares. If you ask me, Natalie is just misunderstood. One things for sure though, you do not want to get on her bad side.
It took guts for Natalie to shove that cop like she did. Especially since that’s the reason her patient got arrested and had to be in shackles to begin with. But that’s the thing: Natalie has guts. She always has. I know one thing, Natalie Manning is one person I want fighting for me.
Stand Out Scene
April sticking up for her patients and demanding a new doctor was amazing! I love feisty April! And I love how protective Ethan is of her. It was so cute how she was excited for him being Chief of Emergency Medicine. I’m patiently waiting for those two to get back together.
However, I hated how she turned on Ethan the minute things didn’t go her way. It’s like she thought since her boyfriend or whatever it is they are is now the boss, he would automatically side with her. That is not a good look, April.
Will: A good leader trusts that those under him know what they’re doing. Maybe even more than he does
Goodwin: Sometimes you make very poor decisions
Will: The job should have been mine to lose
Will: Ethan’s not his doctor, I am!
Ethan: I know your heart is in this COVID battle, but you can’t go at it alone.
