“Romans 12:21” continues with the drama after last week’s events in Filthy Rich. Luke is dead, Jesus is missing and Becky gave birth to her baby. I will say that it’s moved the plot of Filthy Rich along a bit more than I thought we would get.
YOU’RE CANCELED FATHER
This line. This brought me so much joy. Margaret finally grew a spine and fired Reverend Thomas. It’s about damn time. He blames the 1820 for the kidnapping of Jesus and Margaret blames him. A lot of people in charge of the Monreaux empire are to blame. It doesn’t fall on just one person. But, let’s take this little win while we have it.
The #savejesus telethon was an up and down endeavor of emotions. You have Rachel who is feeling guilty for leaving Jesus alone. Rose who is trying to not acknowledge her feelings about what happened in New York while trying to answers phones. Ginger comes back after Luke’s wake and Mark shows up a couple of minutes later. It’s just a cluster fuck of emotions.
Hagamond had Jesus and thinks he is the savior and then went and killed Reverend Thomas. Antonio and Yopi also appear on the telethon pleading for Jesus and it’s heartfelt. The emotions that the cast displayed during the telethon were genuine and it’s something that we haven’t always seen in this series. It was also great to see this family come together for once for a common cause.
Did anyone else laugh when all of a sudden Eugene and his friend just randomly hit Hagamond and just decided to drive away? Like, WTF did that come from? It was so random.
Everything is just finally coming together in Filthy Rich and “Romans 12:21” is wrapping up the series nicely. Hopefully, we get closure in the last episode of the series since the show was canceled. There is nothing I hate more than a cliffhanger and then not getting answers.
Filthy Rich airs on Monday’s on Fox at 8:00 P.M.
