Doogie Howser will always and forever be Neil Patrick Harris in my book, but the reality is that in todays reboot culture, it was a matter of time before the series was rebooted.
And it’s no shock that the series is being rebooted by Disney+. The show is entitled, Doogie Kameāloha, M.D..
The series, which is based off the original series, is about, “Doogie Kameāloha (Lee), a 16-year-old mixed-race girl who juggles a budding medical career and life as a teenager. Guiding Lahela — and also complicating things — is her family, including her spitfire Irish mother, who’s also her supervisor at the hospital, and her Hawaiian “Local Boy” father who struggles to accept that his daughter is no longer his little girl.”
No word on a premiere date, but we’re looking forward to seeing this one. Were you a fan of Doogie Howser? What do you think of a reboot?
