We are getting closer and closer to the release of Netflix series Shadow and Bone based on the books by Leigh Bardugo, and we are still giving you all the things. We’re always on the lookout for any and all content we can get, including the music.
The first song from the Shadow and Bone score, composed by Joseph Trapanese, has been released and we are more excited than ever for this show. The track titled ‘Ravka’ is well, magical. The moment it starts, you know this is something different. It’s hard to describe because it is so unique and it screams all things Shadow and Bone. It feels very fitting for The Grishaverse and all the wonders that it holds.
Listen for yourself.
After hearing this, I want more. Also, how cool is that Joseph Trapanese is the one who did it? He’s got quite an impressive resume (See The Divergent series: Allegiant/Insurgent, The Greatest Showman, Straight Outta Compton). I can’t wait to get my hands on this when it releases. Seriously, believe me when I say I have a major obsession with film scores, I own more than I can count so I will definitely be adding this one to my collection.
‘Ravka’ is available to download/stream on all major digital music platforms now so we shall be keeping it on repeat until Netflix releases Shadow and Bone on April 23rd.
Tell us what you think about ‘Ravka.’ Will you be downloading it and getting the score when it releases?
