Stranger Things has put us in a chokehold once again with its fourth season. Not only has the series returned with its 80s nostalgia, but it’s given us a surprise guest: Jamie Campbell Bower. For everyone first encountering him on the hit Netflix show, just know that this isn’t his first rodeo with a famous franchise. As a matter of fact, Stranger Things has given Jamie Campbell Bower his renaissance phase.
Appearing in the Twilight series, Harry Potter franchise, and the one-off movie adaptation of The Mortal Instruments, JCB made his mark on the screen. When he wasn’t charming us with those cheekbones, he was out being the lead singer and guitarist for his band Counterfeit. Wow, he’s a double threat… much like his character in Stranger Things.
Initially, I was confused about his credit in the first episode because we never saw his face. I took that curiosity, found his page on IMDB, and spoiled the reveal for myself. Then, I spent the rest of the season thirsting over him in human form and looking for his cheekbones under those Vecna prosthetics. I’m not the only one who’s been thinking deeply about JCB ever since Stranger Things Vol. 4 Part 1 was released. Let’s call Jamie Campbell Bower’s return to the screen a reprise in three parts.
First, there are those who are mesmerized by his performance as the big baddie this season.
Then, there are those who feel nostalgic for their teen years, back when Jamie Campbell Bower was being a vampire and slaying demons.
And last but not least, the thirst tweets.
To see Jamie Campbell Bower in his Netflix debut, Stranger Things Vol. 4 Part 1 is streaming now. Vol 4. Part 2 is slated to release on July 1st.
