All good things must come to an end. And as much as such a line usually causes sorrow and disappointment, in this particular case it is more cause for excitement and anticipation.
Because today — on August 24, 2018 —the After movie wrapped filming in Atlanta, Georgia. After six weeks of filming, endless photos, posts and tweets from set, the cast and crew is closing down shop on one of the most highly-anticipated films of 2019.

On set every step of the way was author, and our personal fave, Anna Todd. Her constant connection to the fans kept us all in touch with everything going on behind the scenes, and made us feel as though we were a part of the journey with her. Which of course is no surprise, since Todd is one of the most fan-connected authors in the social world. Since her start on Wattpad, she has brought her readers along with her on a journey like no other, so it was no shock that the same was experienced during the filming of her movie.
With Hero Finnes-Tiffin and Josephine Langford at the helm of the roles of Hardin Scott and Tessa Young, fans could finally see the characters from the page come to life. And with a release date of April 12, 2019, it is now a countdown to seeing them bring the story to life on the screen that we have all been waiting for.
We can’t congratulate Anna, Hero, Josephine and the cast and crew enough for this incredible milestone, and we can’t thank them enough for bringing along on the journey!
