Green Gables, here we go again!
Anne With An E has been renewed for Season 3, which means we won’t be saying goodbye to Anne, Gilbert, Matthew or Marilla anytime soon.
Thank you, TV Gods. Thank you Netflix.
Anne with an E is an adaptation of the beloved Lucy Maud Montgomery book Anne of Green Gables. Montgomery went on to write eight books in total about the life of Anne and her family. The show was created by Moira Walley-Beckett and produced by Miranda de Pencier’s Northwood Entertainment.
Though the show has taken, let’s say, certain liberties with the books it’s been adapted from, from this hardcore Anne fan, I will say that they have managed to capture the spirit, and the essence of my favorite red-head, and I am very, very happy there’s more to come.
In fact, can we have like 5 more seasons so we can make sure we’ll see all of her life? That’s only fair.
The news was announced on Twitter, by the official account, in just the perfect Anne way:
