We wanted it, and we got it. Bill Hader has officially been nominated for an Emmy award for his outstanding performance in HBO’s Barry, a show he co-created and directed. This will be his fourth acting nomination, following the three he got while on Saturday Night Live.
Hader is also nominated for Guest Actor in a Comedy for hosting Saturday Night Live earlier this year.
To say we’re excited would be an understatement.
Hader will run against Anthony Anderson (Blackish), Ted Danson (The Good Place), Larry David (Curb Your Enthusiasm), Donald Glover (Atlanta) and William H. Macy (Shameless).
Barry is also nominated for a much deserved Emmy for Best Comedy Series, so it’s an overall win for Hader.
Whether he’ll win both awards, we’ll have to wait until September 17th to find out. But, truthfully, we really hope he does.
