Lately, we’ve been all about period pieces. When we were invited to the premiere of Will, the new show coming to TNT tomorrow, we were excited.
Totally admit that the show peaked our interest, because – well, Jamie Campbell Bower. But when we watched the pilot – we were in awe of everyone.
This show is just so good.
If you aren’t familiar with or haven’t heard of Will, it’s a “A drama about the lost years of young William Shakespeare after his arrival to London in 1589 — when theatre was like rock and roll and a young man with a dream changed the world with his words.”
We were thrilled to interview Colm Meaney, who we know from, Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. The actor plays, James Burbage on Will.
Who is James?
James Burgage is a carpenter who had a vision to build the first theatre in London since Roman times: a 3,000-seat auditorium that will go on to become so famous, it will simply be called “The Theatre.” Actor, producer and fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants entrepreneur, James must battle the authorities, rival theatres and a fickle, sometimes riotous public to keep himself and his company of talented misfits afloat.

Will premiere on TNT, July 10th.
