We spoke with iZombie‘s Rahul Kohli and Robert Buckley at San Diego Comic-Con about the new challenges they’ll face in Season 4 and how politics will test the bonds between humans and zombie kind in New Seattle.
Ravi, played by Rahul Kohli, has always been loyal. He’s been loyal to Liv, a zombie, and the rest of the humans in his life. With New Seattle taking shape and things changing for the better for zombies under Fillmore Graves rule, things are going to change for Ravi.
“Fillmore Graves is gonna play a huge role in shaping the politics of the future of Seattle in Season 4. And I’ve already seen some of those bullet points and some of them are quite extreme.”
He goes on to explain that this will force Ravi to, “reassess that relationship between human and zombies. It will test Ravi’s loyalty to his own species and zombies.”
Robert Buckley’s character, Major Lilywhite, will be smack dab in the middle of these power struggles between humans and zombies on a whole other level. He’s chosen Fillmore Graves and the family he’s made there over the humans and it’s going to put him in a precarious situation when it comes to other zombies he loves, particularly Liv.
During Season 4, “We’re gonna find Liv and Major on opposites sides.”
Buckley goes on to say that what his character is experiencing with Liv, and what all our characters will experience if you really think about it, is like “politics with family members or loved one, where you stand on opposite sides of an issue and you’re like “this is the worst, but I love you and respect you, but I think what you’re saying is so dumb.”
