Are we shocked that another John Green book has been optioned? Nope. We kinda always figure that would happen.
Especially when we’re read Turtles All the Way Down and we know that it’s unlike anything that John has ever written. Yes, we’ll be honest, that a lot of John’s books feel somewhat the same to us. It’s never mattered, because they are all so good.
Turtles is on another level.
The book, “centers on a 16-year-old high school girl with obsessive compulsive disorder who tries to solve the mystery revolving around a fugitive billionaire. Along with her friend Daisy, she sets out to try to claim a $100,000 reward.”
Turtles All the Way Down has been optioned by Fox for film and there is no shocker that Temple Hill is producing. It’s like a The Fault in Our Stars reunion.
We know that Temple Hill knows a good YA book. The production company has taken on such films as The Maze Runner Series, The Fault in Our Stars, and Twilight to name a few. The Hate U Give and Love, Simon are upcoming Temple Hill productions.
“It doesn’t mean there will definitely be a movie, but it means that there might be one,” Green said. “So now’s the time to begin inundating me with casting suggestions.”
We have faith it will be a film. We’re holding out for it. This book deserves to be a film.
