As usual with any convention, there is a lot of news that comes from it. One of the most exciting things to come from this years Bookcon is that we finally have a release date for the highly anticipated Looking for Alaska. Hulu’s limited-series adaptation of Looking for Alaska will debut on Friday, Oct. 18, the streamer announced at the panel.
The best part – we won’t have to wait for them to debut a new episode week after week. All 8 episodes of the limited-series will drop at the same time.
The project’s cast consists of Charlie Plummer (Granite Flats), Kristine Froseth (The Society) Ron Cephas Jones (This Is Us), Timothy Simons (Veep), Denny Love, Jay Lee, Landry Bender, Sofia Vassilieva, Uriah Shelton and Jordan Connor.
Looking For Alaska is told through the eyes of Miles “Pudge” Halter, who enrolls in a boarding school – as one does – to change his life. He develops a crush, or you know falls in love with Alaska Young, who passes away untimely. He’s gotta look into her death to find the truth and make sense of it.
I mean it’s not something I would do, but hey – it makes for a good story.
Josh Schwartz wrote the pilot and will serve as executive producer and showrunner. Stephanie Savage executive produces with Jessica Tuchinsky, Mark Waters, Green and Marty Bowen and Isaac Klausner of Temple Hill.

I work a lot. Fangirlish is my baby. I work in social media professionally and I love it - which is probably why I don't keep up on my own. I don't sleep enough and I obsess too much over my favorite things. I need to work on combing my hair more. Or at elast I need to stop dying it different colors.
