We’d follow anything Mindy Kaling does. The woman is a genius and we’re obsessed.
The actress has a new show, a coming-of-age Netflix comedy series entitled, Never Have I Ever, and after an open world wide casting call, it’s cast Indian-American actress Richa Shukla in a series regular role.
The series, which is inspired by Kaling’s own childhood, is about “Devi, a modern-day first generation Indian American teenage girl. She is an overachieving high school sophomore who has a short fuse that gets her into difficult situations.”
We’re here for anything that Kaling does, as we’ve said.
Shukla will play Kamala, Devi’s cousin from India, who is getting her PhD from Caltech.
Never Have I Ever will be Shukla’s leading series debut. We can’t wait for this show!
