If you’re anything like us, you’ve been dying to hear the smallest news about the new season of Doctor Who.
While it seems like the new season won’t premiere until after summer, we have a newfound reason to rejoice! BBC America announced today that both Doctor Who and Jodie Whittaker are heading to San Diego Comic-Con. Chris Hardwick will be in charge of hosting the panel, which will also feature Whittaker’s co-stars Tosin Cole and Mandip Gill, as well as new showrunner Chris Chibnall and executive producer Matt Strevens.
The #DoctorWho cast will be appearing at San Diego @Comic_Con in their first ever panel appearance ahead of the new series this autumn. More info > https://t.co/oCqWrT0xKX pic.twitter.com/dnS4D6Qr8y

Though it hasn’t been announced yet, odds are the panel will be hosted at Hall H.
Fans first met Whittaker as the Thirteenth Doctor at the end of the show’s Christmas Special, which was Peter Capaldi and Steven Moffat’s last episode as Doctor and showrunner, respectively. Jodie Whittaker’s appearance at Comic Con will mark the first time in several years that the BBC has presented the new lead ahead of a new season.
Are you excited? We sure are!
