Changes are coming for The Shannara Chronicles.
Ahead of it’s Season 2 release, Variety has reported that the MTV scripted fantasy series will be moving from MTV to Spike. The change is due to a rebranding of both networks. Spike is being rebranded as The Paramount Network. And MTV is being restructured to the old days of reality shows like “Fear Factor”, which is being revived and to be hosted by Ludacris.
The Shannara Chronicles is based on the book series by Terry Brooks. Season 2 will consist of 10 episodes airing this fall. It’s set one year after the end of the Season 1 finale. The Four Lands are in chaos as magic has returned and put a mighty fear in the people. In response, magic users are being hunted down by an organization called The Crimson.
Last we left off, Amberle had been lost to her destiny, never to return. And Eretria was seperated from Wil by a mysterious group. Left by himself, Wil turned his back on his magical destiny until a mysterious warrior appears to save him from a Crimson attack. Hopefully it won’t take long for him to reunite with Eretria and start working on getting the Four Lands back on track!
The Shannara Chronicles Season 2 premieres this fall on Spike.
