With The X-Files Season 11 set to premiere in 2018 it’s about time and filming starting just about now, it makes sense that we’d start getting out first casting announcements for the new season, other than, you know – Mulder, Scully and Skinner are back, which seemed kind of obvious.
First, the expected, TVLine is reporting that Robbie Amell and Lauren Ambrose are set to reprise their roles as Agent Miller and Einstein, though as of now it remains unclear how many episodes the pair will appear on.
The two made their debut in last year’s revival, as two agents who bore more than a passing resemblance to our favorite duo – with Amell’s Miller more open to …ahem, possibilities, while Ambrose’s Einstein much more determined to use science to get all her answers.
As if that wasn’t enough, though, Deadline reports that Barbara Hershey is set to join the new season of the sci-fi drama in the mysterious role of Erika Price, a “powerful figure who represents a mysterious organization.”
So, basically, a evil. Hershey does do evil pretty well – let’s remember that her last big TV role was as the villainous Cora in Once Upon A Time.
