Doctor Who is set to return on Sunday, October 31st and the campaign the BBC is running to get us excited is working!
The first video released is a small clip of the Doctor trying to get through to us, the viewer. She could be heard saying, “Can you hear me?” And even from this small clip, you know that things are dire or that something big is on the horizon for what’s to come in series 13.
This is followed by a longer clip. In this one, we can see the Doctor a little clearer with Yasmin Khan (Mandip Gill) and new companion Dan Lewis (John Bishop) behind her, hard at work and desperately piloting the TARDIS.
“Can you hear me? Listen carefully, we don’t have much time,” the Doctor says, the connection clear for a glorious couple of seconds. “The Flux is coming. It’s bringing with it the Sontarans, Weeping Angels, creatures known as the Ravagers and enemies from across the Universe. This is the fight of our lives.”
“Doctor, we need you!” Dan interrupts before Yasmin says, “I can’t hold it much longer, Doctor.” The Doctor, who is frantically trying to get a message out, ignores them and warns the viewer, “It’s coming. Be ready.” Then the transmission ends. And just like that, we’re ready for Doctor Who this Halloween!
