Virgin River follows nurse practitioner Melinda “Mel” Monroe, who moves to a small town in Northern California to start a new life and discovers that, despite what’s been advertised, life in a small town is not as simple as she expected. As Mel finds love, family, and friendship—she discovers that, perhaps, simple isn’t what it’s all cracked up to be. Perhaps, what she always needed, was this: intimate, coz,y and loving.

Fangirlish Rating

Small-town romance, found family, and the kind of drama that can probably be resolved by talking but somehow always drags. Perfect comfort watch.

It’s a nicely made drama for people looking for heartfelt stories. It sensitively deals with serious themes like divorce, death, rape, miscarriages, and PTSD, and could be uncomfortable for those who go have gone through any of these issues. But it also encourages to move forward. Multiple storylines will keep you engaged.
