This ABC procedural drama follows a group of first responders – firefighters, paramedics, dispatchers, and police officers – in Los Angeles, as they face high-pressure situations (from earthquakes to tsunamis, without forgetting a bee-nado, yes …a bee-nado), and then go home and try to live fulfilling lives. Romance, drama, and even a little bit of humor meet high stakes in 9-1-1, a show that typically features multiple different emergencies per episode, takes inspiration from the shocking real-life experiences of the men and women who regularly face the kind of heart-stopping situations that showcase what it really means to be a first responder.
