I am sure by now most of you have heard about the upcoming live-action version of the iconic Disney film Aladdin. Surely one of everyone’s favorite childhood films, it is getting a revamp with a whole new cast which has already caused some drama in the entertainment world.
After reports that the film was struggling to cast strong and appropriate actors for the lead roles, all of a sudden both were announce and suited quite well. With Mena Massoud as Aladdin, Naomi Scott as Princess Jasmin, and Will Smith as the Genie, the casting choices have already gained favorable attention.
And it seems to be continuing as they have cast their villain and he is nothing like the cartoon version!

Marwan Kenzari, previously seen in Collide and the Promise, will be playing the evil role of Jafar, and fans are already feeling conflicted. How can you hate the films villain when you cant stop staring at him? Serious question here….
The Dutch born 34-year old already has an impressive resume behind him, and joining this cast is another great step towards stardom. Kenzari is already slated to appear in Murder On the Orient Express along side Johnny Depp.
The latest cartoon-to-live remake is being directed by Guy Ritchie.
We cant wait to see it come to life on screen, and our inner (and outter) child can thrill in it all over again!
