Rebecca Serle, you know that we love you. I apologize for being behind on this amazing news.
She’s got a new book coming out people. A NEW BOOK! No, it is not in the Famous in Love universe, but we’re okay with that. We’re actually huge fans of all of Rebecca’s books. The author has sold her first adult book to Flatiron Books.
Just take all of our money.
The book, which is entitled, The Dinner List, which is set in “New York City, and mixes the kind of magical realism and wish fulfillment seen in films like Midnight in Paris. It takes place in one evening when a woman arrives at her birthday dinner party to mysteriously find everyone on her dream “dinner list” waiting at the table, the answer to the proverbial question if you could have dinner with a group consisting of anyone who would it be?”
Lord, who would we have. So many great people in this world to have to the table.
So we have to wonder will it become a TV show? A movie? Well, Farah Films and Serle are attached as producers. We’re banking on a movie.
This wouldn’t be the first book by Serle that is optioned as a movie. Scott Neustadter & Michael Weber are adapting her first book, When You Were Mine, for Universal.
Her TV series Famous in Love is heading into it’s second season at Freeform.
