Here at Fangirlish we continue to support your right to fangirl over any fandom you desire – whether that is a book, a TV show, a movie, or even sports. That’s why we have Stop and Fangirl! So you can feel happy – and confident, loving whatever it is you love.
On our last episode of the season, we talk about the way women are portrayed in TV (and movies), and how isolating this portrayal can be for those looking to connect to characters and experiences. Things get real as we break down the fact that yes, women have periods, go to the bathroom, and do plenty of things that TV is convinced women don’t do. We also talk about how TV and the media we consume has isolated women into thinking that the normal things that occur to our bodies are strange instead of being…normal.
So, without further ado…stop and fangirl with us! And when you’re done, come tell us YOUR stories about how TV and the media you consume has changed your perception of your body. Thank you for listening and we hope to see you soon when Stop and Fangirl returns this Fall!
