It’s been a while, but good ships never really disappear from the collective consciousness. And it’s February, the month of love, so we thought we’d go back and examine some of our favorite ships, and why we shipped them.
Bring some more love into the world, so to speak.

Even before they were a couple we shipped them. 75% of it was because of the way Patrick looked at David with pure adoration. David calling Patrick his boyfriend for the first time was a game changing moment for the couple that cemented their love. David having Patricks back when he came out to his parents was the kind of spousal support we need to see when it comes to LGBTQ couples! David telling Patrick he loves him for the first time didn’t come easy for our favorite Rose but it was worthwhile and a huge step for him. Patrick proposing to David after a long and hard day of planning felt like the cherry on top to a relationship we already know and love to the moon and back. David and Patrick kissing for the first time was so tender and so sweet. You could only dream about having a first kiss like this! David and Patrick kissing at work. That’s it. That’s the caption. Patrick admitting to David that David makes him feel right. Someone hand me tissues. Please! David and Patrick cuddling at the Christmas party at the hotel like a cute and cuddly couple.
Patrick singing to David was an open and honest moment of vulnerability that cemented this ship as OTP gold!David carrying Patrick after he hurt his foot was David coming out of his comfort zone to protect the man he loves and I’ll never get over that growth. Sharing champagne with your boo should be a thing after this David and Patrick scene. I have spoken. Patrick is right, David does look adorable in this outfit and there’s nothing David can do to change our minds. Patrick admitting that David is his Mariah Carey was the ultimate love declaration in my book and in David’s! David being proud of Patrick during family dinners. Every time. David and Patrick in pajamas is something we’ll never get tired of and something we want to see again and again. David and Patrick cuddling in bed. Over. And over. Again. David singing to Patrick was David’s way of showing Patrick that his efforts, his love, are more than appreciated. They are returned. Patrick being jealous over David’s ex. Yes, that made us ship them. Look at Patrick’s eyes. Danger zone! Talking about having a baby together goes to show you that David and Patrick are here for the endgame to end all endgames. David seeing Patrick in his suit for the first time was an awwww moment for all of us and a reminder of how these two have helped each other grow. Patrick giving David a forehead kiss has BLOWN. US. AWAY.
