I’ll admit, I teared up a bit at the news that Disney+ has cast newcomer Iman Vellani as Ms. Marvel, aka Kamala Khan, Marvel comics’ first Muslim superhero. It’s a really big deal, and though asking them to cast Ms. Marvel accordingly shouldn’t be a tall order, this is Hollywood we’re talking about, and even beyond that, it’s just …amazing to see the girl who will be the face of Kamala.
And I’m not the only one feeling it.
