Charlie is stupid. I said what I said. I don’t care if you don’t agree, because The Company You Keep has shown me that Charlie is stupid.
See, if I am dating someone and I get kidnapped and hooked up to a lie detector test, well then, we’re done. I will dump your ass. If I find out you are CIA and investigating me – it’s like bye bitch. We have nothing to say.
But Charlie finds out that Emma is CIA he doesn’t run. He doesn’t say a negative word. He asks like nothing is wrong.
But the thing is he’s found someone that he loves and he wants it to work. He wants life to be easy and his crime to not be a thing. But the CIA has red flagged him all over the place. He had gone to South America and been arrested and showed up at the border with no passport.
He’s open about it.
But I do understand drama. I do understand that there is supposed to be a lot of drama in shows like this. And speaking of drama, Connor is in town. He wants to know what his sister is up to and heads to DC in order to make sure of what she’s doing.
Connor doesn’t want anything to do with his sister and doesn’t want to believe that Daphne is his sister. But he’s going to make her pay for doing things her way. He’s going to make her pay for trying to take over the business.
Connor wants to know how it is that she’s making money when she’s basically giving away the drugs for basically free. She doesn’t want to give it away, but you know, Connor is about to beat it out of someone.
Charlie heads back to the bar and when Daphne shows up, he makes a deal with her. If they get her ten million by that Friday, will they be square. I am shocked that Daphne agrees, but then again, having a nice nest egg is a good thing.
Ten million dollars is a nice nest egg.
While I am shocked that Charlie did this, I think that he is trying to protect his family and that’s why he’s doing it. He wants to make sure that his family is safe and that Emily doesn’t learn who he is. The thing is that Charlie is being reckless and dangerous. He’s got ideas on how to fix things, yes. But he doesn’t have ideas if it doesn’t all work out.
He’s also not thinking when he agrees to go and meet Emily’s parents. It’s a fund raising event for Emily’s brother and every one who is anyone will be there. Emily’s parents are also stuck up and believe that they know alone what is best for their little girl.
Her Dad is somewhat stuck up and an elitist. He doesn’t think that a guy that tends bar is good enough for his daughter. He doesn’t think that Charlie is even in the realm of someone that Emily should date and had no trouble expressing it to Charlie.
When Emily overheard she told her father off and made it clear that he shouldn’t be acting this way. Charlie kept telling her it was okay.
But it wasn’t. There are so many reasons that Charlie and Emily don’t work. The biggest being their jobs. Only they don’t know it. They haven’t been honest.
Charlie and his family are able to pull off the heist for ten million, but what happens next, they aren’t prepared for. They aren’t prepared for Colin to be in town.
Colin is scary AF. He manages to know where Charlie is going to be driving and cuts him off. Charlie tries to hide his face with a mask, but Colin says he knows who he is. Watching Colin take the money from him – Charlie tells him that means that they are square with his sister.
Charlie is wrong. He may not know it yet, but he is wrong. Daphne isn’t going to let him off the hook – we all know it. Colin doesn’t care though, he sees this as a way to cut his sister off from taking over the organization.
Yes, Charlie made this mistake. He tried to scam this family and that’s put his family in the center of it all. But things are about to get worse. They are about to get worse because Daphne is going to loose her shit.
You see Colin never knew that he had a sister, but now that he knows, he’s threatened. He tells her to come for the business, which means that shit is about to get really bad.
And then there is the fact that when Charlie was driving off, Emily say him. Granted he was wearing a mask and she only saw his eyes. He is sure she knows it was him though. And I am pretty sure she does too.
Whatever happens next, shit is about to get intense and we’re thinking it will also be
