We were not prepared, even though we should have been. Because yes, the latest Ahsoka trailer featured the one voice we knew would probably be present (should be) in an Ahsoka Tano series — that of Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka’s former Master. And yes, he was voiced by Hayden Christensen.
Just that, in itself, is a lot. But the promise of what it means, well, that’s even more. To the point that it’s hard to process. And this trailer didn’t even show us any new footage from him! Just the words.
First, because the dialogue seems to suggest the moment we’re hearing is set during The Clone Wars, which means …does it mean flashback or are we getting ahead of ourselves? And also, is it possible that Ahsoka could meet Anakin’s force ghost? Now that’s a reunion that would make us weep.
Either way, we’re not prepared for what’s coming. We’re already emotionally compromised, kthanx.
Yeah, someone have mercy on our souls when this show actually premieres and we get to see Anakin and Ahsoka together.
Will you be watching this latest addition to the Star Wars verse??
Ahsoka premieres on Disney+ with two episodes on August 23rd.
