To say that I spend more time in my office chair than anywhere else is not an understatement. I work from home, and the WFH life has required certain adjustments. We all kinda had that moment, during the pandemic (and after, for the lucky ones who never had to return to an office, like me). How do you assemble your home setup in a way that’s comfortable and yet still gives you enough structure to allow you to get work done?
My new best friend in this quest is the Flexispot Premium Ergonomic Office Chair (C7), which is why I’m here, writing this review.
This is my actual dream chair. I’m a writer, so let’s throw some hyperbole in here: if I weren’t married, I’d marry this chair. It strikes the right balance between comfortable – I can put my feet up! – and good for my back. But it’s not just that it’s good for my back, it’s that I don’t have to think about the ways it’s good for my back. It requires very little adjustment for the amount of lumbar support it provides, which is very good.
But if you want to adjust it, the chair will give you plenty of options. And it’s incredibly comfortable no matter what weird position you choose to sit in. Trust me, when you’re sitting for 10+ hours, you try them all. I’ve never had a chair that I was comfortable sitting in while cross-legged. C7, where have you been all my life?
I haven’t even talked about the breathable mesh material. There’s nothing I hate more than heavy material on the back of office chairs. Even when the weather is cool, after sitting for too long, it’s uncomfortable. There’s nothing quite like the mesh material for an office chair. If I get cold, I can put on more clothes. My chair doesn’t need to keep me warm.
All my chair needs to do is sit there and look pretty.
Okay, it also needs to spin. I like it when my chairs spin.
Jokes aside, the Flexispot Premium Ergonomic Office Chair (C7) is probably the best in the market at its price point, and I’d wager it can compete with chairs above its price point. It’s very comfortable – and it remains so for more than just 45 minutes, it looks nice and it might even help with that pesky back pain. It helped me with mine. I might just become a much more productive person now that I don’t have to take so many breaks from working because my body hurts from sitting down for too long. And since Flexispot offers a 10-year warranty, I don’t have to worry about my chair breaking because I’m constantly trying to test out the weirdest positions I can sit in.
Instead, I can just sit and work, in a chair that doesn’t make me want to run away to the couch after a while. Imagine that.
