It’s official – Off Campus has found its Grace Ivers in India Fowler (Fear Street: Prom Queen). Prime Video announced the casting through an adorable video of Antonio Cipriano, who plays John Logan, breaking the news to Fowler. It’s an announcement and a chemistry test all in one. After all, Elle Kennedy’s second book in the Off Campus series, The Mistake, tells the second-chance romance between Logan and Grace. As someone who loves them and their story, I’m thrilled to know that Prime Video’s Off Campus will be telling their story next.
Then again, Deadline exclusively reports that “Amazon would not confirm which book in the Off Campus series Season 2 is based on.” Meanwhile, in the announcement video, Cipriano asks Fowler, “Would you maybe wanna come be Grace and Season 2 with me?” So, that seems to confirm that Off Campus Season 2 will stick to the books’ order and follow Logan and Grace’s story next.

The outlet’s description of Grace describes her as “a sociology major freshman trying to fit in at Briar University.” Deadline also revealed that Philipa Soo (Hamilton) will recur in Off Campus Season 2 as Scarlett, “a theatre artist who is guest directing an original play at the college’s drama department.” I’m already thinking about how this character will play into Grace and Logan’s story. I bet that Scarlett will share scenes with Allie, who canonically loves acting and the theatre. I’m also curious to see if Cipriano, who is a singer and a Broadway performer, will have a duet with Soo. Can we manifest that?
Knowing that there is a time jump in the book that brings Grace and Logan back together in her sophomore year, I imagine the show could do the same thing. I also like what that could mean for the pacing of Dean Di Laurentis (Stephen Kalyn) and Allie Hayes’s (Mika Abdalla) romance. That takes place in Kennedy’s third book, The Score, but both characters are in the first season. Off Campus Season 1 is about songwriter Hannah Wells (Ella Bright) and hockey player Garrett Graham’s (Belmont Cameli) romance, as in Kennedy’s The Deal.
There’s a great chance that we will know even more about Season 2 sooner than later – and Season 1 doesn’t even drop until Wednesday, May 13. Prime Video renewed the college soap, created for TV by Louisa Levy, for a second season well before a trailer for the first season was even released. In that announcement video, Levy shared that the cast would go back to the set in Vancouver to film the second season after the Season 1 press tour, which is currently happening. Hopefully, the similar production schedules mean that we will have Logan and Grace in Off Campus Season 2 this time next year.
