This week Every Year After hits Prime Video and we have to admit, we are obsessed. We loved the book, but the show – obsessed. More on that later though.
With the first season dropping all at once, we’re telling you that it is definitely bingeworthy. Definitely going to need to know about more seasons ASAP. Co-creator and show runner Amy B Harris has a plan for the show to last five seasons.
Five seasons you say? Say less. We’ll be watching all five seasons if it comes to that.
In speaking with Entertainment Weekly she said that she sees the show going beyond the books. That does make sense. While there is another book connected to Barry’s Bay, “One Golden Summer,” she does see it going beyond the books.
Harris said, “Obviously, there’s another book that’s connected to Barry’s Bay that I think will be a very exciting blueprint for us for a potential season 2.”
Season 2 is necessary for so many reasons. There is just so much more story to tell.
“We have these six main characters, and I think we’ll be adding characters as the seasons go on. I really see this as a series, and it’s why we built it the way we did so that we can come back and explore a lot more romance,” she told the outlet, “We have lots more to say both about Percy and Sam’s love story, but also about these other characters who hopefully people will come to love as much as they do Percy and Sam.”
Look, as a person that loves the characters, I would love to see more of the characters story. Knowing more about what happens would be great to watch – as the books, the show – there are so many questions left unanswered.
All 8 episodes of Every Year After drop June 10 on Prime Video.
