Anna Pigeon is coming back for Season 2! The announcement was made by USA Network just days before the Season 1 finale. And it doesn’t come as a surprise to many because Anna Pigeon became USA Network’s highest-rated original scripted series premiere in nearly eight years, with an average of 2.35 million total viewers within the seven days following the premiere.
“It’s been really thrilling to see audiences fall in love with Anna and come to the park every week,” said Showrunner Morwyn Brebner. “We’re so grateful to our cast and crew who brought Nevada Barr’s iconic world to life with such heart and passion; we cannot wait to get back outside for season two.”

As for Tracy Spiridakos herself, who plays Anna, she took part in the series renewal announcement. In a video posted on Instagram, Spiridakos is shown sitting in a dressing room eating chips. When she hears a knock at her door she checks it out and finds her iconic ranger hat on the ground. That’s when the words “Anna Pigeon Season Two” appear and Spiridakos says, “Season two, baby.”
Based on the New York Times best-selling novels by Nevada Barr, the first season follows former city slicker Anna Pigeon, who became a park ranger the death of her husband changed the trajectory of her life forever. While Anna tries to outrun her demons, her focus turns to solving crimes that have taken place within national park grounds, no matter who or what gets in her way.
According to the press release, Season 2 promises continued mystery and adventure, as Anna’s story continues to unfold. And even though we know that the books take place in multiple national parks, we hope Anna sticks to this one for a while longer. Because the story being built here, the friends found, and the relationships built, are far from over.
Anna Pigeon‘s Season 1 finale will air October 9th on USA Network.
