NCIS: New York Season 1, Episode 3 ‘Carousel’ promises more of an emotional hook with the case and maybe even a little romance for Sam? Every time you bring in kids, the case becomes heightened, and for a show as new as this one, it’s a good way to get a sense of what all the characters are like and how they react when the most vulnerable are in danger. You can play tough, but it’s another thing altogether to shut down your emotions when kids are in danger.
Then there’s the tease about Sam possibly reconnecting with someone from his past. Sam’s romantic life has been kinda quiet since his wife Michelle died. He had a brief relationship after that, with Katherine, an insurance broker, but in the last few NCIS: Los Angeles seasons, his storyline focused more on his aging father and his kids. And on NCIS: Hawai’i, we never did see any romance.
Basically, it’s been a while. And though he told Nick in Episode 2 that reconnecting with anyone from his past was the last thing he wanted, it seems like the past is ready to reconnect with him. Will it mean anything?

Are There Photos For ‘Carousel’?
The photos don’t give us much, other than a few shots of Sam and Nick looking cool. Which they always do.

Is There a Synopsis for the Episode?
Yes, and the synopsis released by CBS teases not just the case, but Sam reconnecting with a woman from his past. Sam’s romantic history has been a little dry since his wife Michelle died, so we’re hoping this is a good sign of things to come for him. And hey, if it gets serious, they’re gonna have to bring his kids in.
“After a Judge Advocate General prosecutor’s children are kidnapped from a park carousel, the team races to find them when they suspect it could be tied to her work,” the first part of the release, which focuses on the case, reads. “Meanwhile, Nick gets subpoenaed for an NYPD investigation and Sam tries to reconnect with a woman from his past,” the part that’s about the character’s personal life adds. But what about Addy and Wyatt?
The episode was written by Melissa Glenn and directed by Nick Gomez.
Is There a Promo For the Hour?
There is, and it features Sam Hanna of all people, saying “teamwork makes the dream work.” Wonder what Deeks would say to that?
