Sarah J. Maas’ Throne of Glass Series Headed to Hulu

Sarah J. Mass’ fans rejoice! The Throne of Glass series is headed to Hulu!

The streaming service is developing Queen of Shadows, an epic fantasy adventure TV series based on the books. The Mark Gordon Company will serve as the studio for the project, with Kira Snyder (The 100), set to write the adaptation and Anna Foerster set to direct the pilot episode.

Queen of Shadows will follow Celaena Sardothien, a female assassin with a mysterious and complicated past, and someone who, despite all of that, wants nothing more than to be free. Beholden to an increasingly tyrannous king, she becomes a reluctant hero against the multitudes of forces that threaten to destroy her world.

No details have yet been made available on possible casting and/or release date.

The six-book Throne of Glass is not yet concluded. In fact, Empire of Storms, the 5th book in the series, was just published yesterday.

Mass herself took to twitter to express her excitement over this development:
