Blindspot fans are in luck! We have fresh spoilers thanks to TVLine. And special attention Jeller and Zapata/Reade fans, we have very good news for you! (To give you an idea, as a fan of these two wonderful couples I’m jumping with happiness as I write this article).

The season will begin where we left it at the season finale, after the two-year jump in time with Jane and Kurt reunited, the discovery of Jane’s new tattoos and with the whole team, as Kurt informed Jane, kidnapped by Roman.
According to Martin Gero, executive producer of Blindspot, fans will get many answers in the first minutes of the episode, “So much will be explained,” he says, “What’s Jane doing in the middle of nowhere? Why haven’t [she and Weller] seen each other in so long? Why did she run? All of that will be answered, and they’ll immediately pick up to go find their friends.”
In addition, great news for Jeller, our favorite couple! It seems that we won’t have to worry too much about the state of their relationship, in the words of Martin Gero, Jane and Weller’s dynamic starts off “a little shaky,” but “the first episode back is going to be the most fulfilling ‘Jeller’ episode we’ve ever done. They are in love, there’s a very good reason they haven’t seen each other in a while and Weller’s been searching for her.”
The best thing is that the good news doesn’t end here, there’s also something very promising about a possible romance between Zapata and Reade, about this, Gero said: “It might be something we’re exploring this season.”
EXTRA SCOOP: A few days ago, an EW reporter, Natalie Abrams, asked us via Twitter to send questions from our favorite show. I asked about Blindspot, specifically about Roman and Jane’s new tattoos, wondering if we could get any clues as to why they were created. And now, thanks to EW we have a clear answer, Martin Gero has clarified that Jane’s tattoos are a kind of punishment. “Part of the fun of this season is uncovering what they’re pointing at and why Roman did this to her,” Gero says. “I don’t think it’s any secret that Roman is behind these new set of tattoos and part of it is emotional. They’re punitive in a way — he wants her back at the FBI. What I think is really exciting is he’s going to show her, through these tattoos, who the people are that’s she’s working with.”
