Motherland: Fort Salem‘s “Coup” saw the witches of Fort Salem doing what they have to do to survive, thrive, and keep alive. This is especially true for General Alder. This warrior witch will do what she has to to keep her hold, no matter the betrayals along the way. And Raelle, Abigail, and Tally, the ones who started the coup, set about facing the consequences of their confession. And finally, on the Raelle front, she finally got to see Scylla, laying bare her betrayal and coming to the realization she still loves Scylla.
That Raylla Confrontation

It’s the moment we’ve been waiting episodes for, the confrontation between Raelle and Scylla. And I’m not going to lie, I’m having difficulty putting into words how I feel about everything that happened before, during, and after this confrontation. So, let’s break it down and try to remember the important things that came out of all of this.
Raelle still loves Scylla and Scylla loves Raelle in return. Yes, it’s a hot twisted mess because Raelle knows that she was a mark, but the fact remains true that these two still love each other. And you know how strong love is. Bad boy can move mountains if you give it a chance. And no matter how angry Raelle seemed, there’s still a chance to move forward with Raylla because of the fact that they love each other and that Scylla laid it out.
Scylla chose Raelle. Yes, she was her mark. Yes, it started off as a job. But at the end of the day, Scylla chose Raelle and Raelle alone. And that matters. That shows that love can heal, change, and make people grow. And like Anacostia figured, love can bring Scylla back and give her a chance to prove herself worthy of Raelle’s honest to goddess love. And we are here for it, to the moon and back.

So, where do they go from now? Well, Scylla is a runner. That’s how her family survived for as long as it did and why Scylla ended up with the Spree in the first place. If General Alder forces Raelle, Abigail, and Tally to run for their lives, Scylla would be the perfect person to help when it comes to that. And it’s the theory that I think I hold the most hope for even if it changes the ladies worlds like crazy.
Another option would be getting Scylla to prove her love, her change, to Raelle by going undercover for Fort Salem. She can make a deal, in exchange for the safety of Raelle, Abigail, and Tally, she’ll go undercover and work on stopping the Spree. Will it be perfect? No. But will it be better than all of them on the run? Oh yes. Plus Raelle would have to be in on things to keep Scylla on point. And I would love to them working together for the greater good and work on rebuilding the trust lost between them.
Either way you look at it, there’s hope Raylla fam. And I’m really glad that I stuck with this ship, despite my hesitations in the beginning, and gave them a chance. I’ve got to believe that with enough love, people can change. And Scylla, well, she did change. For Raelle. And hopefully she’ll take that, internalize it, and end up changing for herself too.
My Children Are in Danger

Just in case you were confused at who my children are, they are Abigail, Raelle, and Tally. My children, they are in danger, now more so that ever before. They went against the chain of command and did what they thought was right. For that, I’m proud of them. But dear lord, the shit storm coming their way is going to destroy Fort Salem and I can feel that truth in my bones.
What is an army, a force, without a leader that believes in you and has your best interest at heart? It’s a sham. That’s what it is. And right now, Alder believes in her power and her will so much so that she’s willing to break convention that has been set forth by the Hague. Why? Because she’s used to the way that things are and doesn’t want to see change happen. Sucks for Alder, because change is coming, no matter how hard she fights it.
That leads back to our children Abigail, Raelle, and Tally. They are but three soldiers, three loose ends that General Alder will snip and take care of as soon as she finds out who ratted her out. And I can’t help but think of how she’s going to accomplish this. Erase their memories? Then promote them and send them off to War College with no idea of what they did? Or mark them as enemy combatants and just as bad as the Spree? OH MY GOD, WHAT IF SHE GETS RID OF THEM AND SAYS THAT WAS THE SPREE INFILTRATION TO HER PEOPLE?!
