Like everyone else on Wynonna Earp, Nicole Haught is a survivor. And for the last 18 months she’s made it through every horror and hardship with her head held high. Or we assume she did because that’s the kind of person that Nicole is: a fighter. So, until we find out what really happened all those months that everyone was gone, here are 5 books we think Nicole Haught would read to survive season 6.
1. The Body Keeps the Score: Brain, Mind, and Body in the Healing of Trauma
Why: Our baby Haught has gone through some hell of a trauma. No matter if she’s with the gang or chilling with Waverly, she’s always on high alert, waiting for the shoe to drop. That’s PTSD right there and if she’s going to survive that, she’ll need all the help she can get and then some!
2. Prepper’s Long-Term Survival Guide: Food, Shelter, Security, Off-the-Grid Power and More Life-Saving Strategies for Self-Sufficient Living
Why: Our Nicole is whip smart. But even she needs a little survival help to set all those traps around the Homestead. She would need a book like this to prepare for any and all life threatening situations that might arise while Waverly was gone and long after she returns to Haught’s arms.
3. A to Z of Crochet: The Ultimate Guide for the Beginner to Advanced Crocheter
Why: Trust me, there’s no way or even a place to get the supplies needed now that Purgatory has gone through shit. And what better way to prepare yourself for that cold weather life than with a book all about crocheting. Nicole can make herself blankets, scarves, and make Waverly a shawl. Win/win if #Wayhaught gets to cuddle in it!
4. Gmorning, Gnight!: Little Pep Talks for Me & You
Why: This goes for the times that Nicole was alone. Everyone needs a little pick me up when things look, feel, or seem to be so damn dark. And I can imagine Nicole waiting for the gang, day in and day out, and needing something to perp her up and keep her going. A book like this would be healthy for Nicole and just what the doctor ordered.
5. 201 Relationship Questions: The Couple’s Guide to Building Trust and Emotional Intimacy
Why: Technically this would be a book for #Wayhaught. But it still counts as something that Nicole would need to survive season 4 of this hellscape they call Purgatory. Strengthening the bond between Nicole and Waverly is key to grounding the former in the latter. Also, who wouldn’t want to hear the answers to a bunch of #Wayhaught love questions?
Wynonna Earp airs Sundays at 10/9c on SYFY.
