We only have to wait a little while longer for Marvel content. Marvel Studios took to its socials today to announce that WandaVision premieres Friday, January 15th on Disney+. The short and sweet teaser gives us another glimpse at Wanda and Vision through the decades.
The way the TV changes with the times is a special touch. WandaVision is already expected to change the scope of TV as we know it. Is it January 15th yet?
Though that premiere date feels like it’s a million years away, it’s only a few weeks further than its previously announced December 2020 premiere date. We’ll get to watch Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany reunite on screen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch and Vision in no time.
It’s also exciting because this means that WandaVision will kick off Phase 4 of the MCU in 2021. I know I’m excited to see how the MCU’s schedule adjusts to include Black Widow, The Falcon and the Winter Solider, and the rest of the slated projects.

It’s unfortunate that we won’t have any new additions to the MCU this year — making it the first time this has happened in 10 years. WandaVision will be the first Marvel Studios project released since Spider-Man: Far From Home in June of 2019. It’ll be an adjustment, but it gives us something to look forward to in 2021.
We won’t get to spend the holidays with Wanda and Vision, but there is a high road here. We get to start 2021 with them. New years are about fresh starts, and Wanda is doing just that by warping reality on WandaVision. It only feels fitting to go through all the changes and challenges of a new year with Wanda and Vision.
