Ships. In entertainment, and especially, in fandom, we live and die by them. Which is why every Friday, we’ll be focusing on a couple, analyzing why we ship them, and overall, just proclaiming our eternal love for those couples that make us say:

Princess Bubblegum Kept Marceline’s Shirt
If that isn’t a declaration of intent/love, then I don’t know what is! No matter the tough stuff they went through when it came to their relationship, Princess Bubblegum held onto that rock shirt and LITERALLY held it close to her heart because Marceline is and will forever be close to Marceline’s heart. Add onto that the fact that she sleeps with it and smells in the morning and you’ve got a recipe for the gay! You bet we’re here for it!
Marceline Dreams of Princess Bubblegum
What is straight about Marceline thinking about getting old and Princess Bubblegum being there at the end of her adventure aka life? Nothing. That’s what’s straight about it! Marceline wants to be surrounded by her loved ones and that’s PB. No matter how old she gets or how much her hearing goes, Princess Bubblegum is it for her. Oh and don’t forget that the “rain” Marceline was seeing was Princess Bubblegum’s tears. Someone hold me!
Maybe It’s Love
After confessing to Princess Bubblegum that she dreamt of her when Marceline was old, you’d think things couldn’t get any gayer. Oh they do! During Adventure Time’s “Checkmate” Marceline confesses that she has this weird feeling in her stomach that she thinks might be love after telling Princess Bubblegum that she was “nice and pink.” And I know Marceline said it was food, but come on. She told PB that she loved her and even if it was casual, it meant something!
Hanging Out Together, Forever
The casual nature that Marceline told Bubblegum that they would be able to hang out together and forever…IT MAKES ME SMILE LIKE A GOOBER! This is friendship, family, and love. And it just makes me love them even more. Combine that with Princess Bubblegum’s blushing and who wouldn’t be swooning? I know I would at the thought of spending eternity with someone who cares for me and wants to spend time together.
Bonnie and Marcie Kiss
This is a two for one special reason why we love and ship Princess Bubblegum and Marceline. First off, the nicknames. Even in the midst of battle, these two remind us of how close they are and how far they’ve come since the beginning of Adventure Time. Then there’s the Bubbline kiss. After so much time, after so much build it, it felt like the culmination of years of shipping. *hits play again on all of these videos because why not*
